SANAA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Yemeni human rights defenders and activists on Tuesday called on international organizations to put pressures on Saudi authorities to refer those involved in torturing and killing of the Yemeni expatriate Abdul Samad al-Muhammadi to the judiciary, try them fairly and compensate his family.
In a petition, the activists and human rights defenders held the Saudi authorities responsible for the killing of the Yemeni expatriate Al-Muhammadi, who died under torture in Saudi prisons in September 2021, while the Saudi authorities are still hiding the details of his murder.
The petition demanded a final decision to convict the perpetrators of Mohammadi’s murder, imposing the maximum penalty on them and make fair compensation for his family for the injustice they were subjected to.
