WORLD, Sept. 12 (YPA) – A passenger plane made an emergency landing in a wheat field near a village in the Russian province of Novosibirsk on Tuesday after it issued a distress signal due to a defect in the hydraulic system, according to local emergency services.
Novosibirsk Governor said that, according to preliminary information, there were about 170 people on board the plane belonging to the Uralsky Aviation Company (Ural Airlines), including 23 children, and no one was harmed during the landing.
All passengers on the plane were evacuated and are currently undergoing a medical examination, according to the Russian Emergency Department.
An Airbus A320 passenger plane, which was carrying out a flight from Sochi to Omsk, failed to land at its destination airport and issued a distress signal.
