Armed attack hits STC factions in Shabwa

SAHBWA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – The “Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions backed by the UAE were subjected on Sunday to an armed attack by Al-Qaeda members in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

Local sources reported that the attack targeted one of the military sites of the STC’s Shabwa Defense Forces” in Al-Musaina area of al-Saeed district, south of the city of Ataq, the provincial capital of Shabwa, with a number of mortar shells.

The sources did not report any details about the attack or the losses among the factions.
