Sanaa International Airport resumes first additional flights to Jordan

SANAA, Sept. 06 (YPA) – Sanaa International Airport on Tuesday witnessed resumption of additional flights to  Amman, the Jordanian capital, after Yemenia Airways decided to increase its o weekly flights.

The director general of Sanaa International Airport, Khaled Al-Shaif, said that a Yemenia Airways flight departed on Tuesday morning from Sanaa airport to Queen Alia Airport in Amman, the Jordanian capital.

“This flight is the inauguration of the additional flights that will be operated between Sanaa and Jordan airports,” he said, adding that six flights will be operated weekly, except on Sundays.

Regarding the increase in other destinations from Sanaa International Airport, Al-Shaif said that “there are no indications of operating flights to other destinations so far.”

Earlier this week, it was announced that Yemenia Airways would resume additional flights from Sanaa airport to the Jordanian capital Amman starting Tuesday.
