Hadrami elite militia calls for probe into assault that its members subjected to in Mukalla

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 02 (YPA) -Officers and members of the Presidential Protection Battalion in the Hadrami Elite issued a statement on Friday evening regarding the barbaric assault on the battalion’s members, and the shaving of their mustaches and eyebrows by a military force in Mukalla.

In the statement, they called for an urgent and clear investigation with those who ordered this heinous act and who carried it out to receive their punishment for all that they committed.

They also called on their brothers and colleagues in the Hadrami elite to stand with them and support them in obtaining their rights, restoring our dignity, and not to attack us or face any upcoming protests in this regard.

” For the record, what happened to us will happen to them in the coming days,” the Hadrami elite militia said in the statement.

They called on all components and tribes of Hadramout, their elders and segments of society to stand by them with all they have and to express clearly and strongly their condemnation of such dangerous behaviors.

The Hadrami elite further called for addressing and compensating the injured in this incident, immediately releasing all detainees, and solving this problem from its roots through equal treatment to all members of the Hadrami elite in incentives, salaries and stopping the policy of separating members of the Hadrami elite.
