Emirati officers arrest Hadrami elite soldiers

HADRAMOUT, Aug 31 (YPA) – Emirati officers arrested soldiers from the Hadrami elite, after assaulting them, following verbal altercations over the delivery of salaries, local sources reported on Wednesday.

According to the sources, during the delivery of the salaries in Saudi riyals to the elite soldiers in Al-Rabwah camp, 60 soldiers were deprived of their salaries and when the soldiers objected to that, the Emiratis officers responded to them rudely, which led to a collision and verbal altercations between them.

“Emirati officers informed the command of the second region, and large forces came and arrested the soldiers, tied their hand behind their backs, threw them on pamphlets and military vehicles  – in a humiliating way – and handed them over to the criminal investigation in the Chechen region,” the sources said.

In the same context, their colleagues gathered to surround the criminal investigation camp, demanding their release, according to media outlets’ reports.

The media sources affirmed that they have obtained pictures showing the brutality of the assault suffered by the soldiers.
