BRUSSELS, July 22 (YPA) – European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Kallas called on “Israel” to stop killing Palestinian civilians at aid distribution points in the Gaza Strip.
This statement came on Tuesday, following a conversation with Israeli entity’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.
Callas, speaking on the X platform, described the killing of civilians waiting for aid in Gaza as “indefensible.” She confirmed that she informed Sa’ar of the need for the Israeli army to stop targeting people at distribution points, noting that “all options remain on the table if Israel does not fulfill its promises.”
This warning coincides with an escalation in the Gaza Strip, with the Civil Defense in Gaza announcing this morning the deaths of 17 Palestinians, most of them in an Israeli airstrike targeting tents for displaced people in the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.
