STC imposes curfew in Aden

ADEN, Aug 31 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council on Wednesday announced a curfew in the city of Aden, which has been witnessing massive protests against the Saud-led  coalition and its government.

Local sources reported that the STC forces announced a curfew in Al-Mansoura district, stressing that the curfew will start from nine o’clock in the evening of Wednesday.

The sources pointed out that the STC factions stationed in The Martyrs’ Square in al-Mansoura district, informed the people not to go out, after nine o’clock in the evening, noting that they have intensified their security and military deployment in all the district’s neighborhoods.

The curfew comes in light of the coalition’s fears of new popular protests against them, following the outbreak of a wide uprising in the past days, condemning the deterioration of the security and living standards of citizens.
