ADEN, Aug. 24 (YPA) – A prominent media leader loyal to the Saudi-led coalition has revealed that the pro-coalition government signed illegal agreements in favor of the coalition countries in Yemen.
The journalist affiliated with the Islah Party, Saif Al-Hadheri, said that “the signing of the telecommunications agreement with the Emirati company was not the first and will not be the last.”
Al-Hadheri added, in a post on his account on the “X” platform on Wednesday, that there are economic, oil, and other sovereign agreements related to the Yemeni islands that were signed by the relevant ministers and the minister of legal affairs in the pro-coalition government.
On Monday, the pro-coalition government, headed by Moein Abdulmalik, signed an agreement with the Emirati company “NX” to monopolize the telecommunications sector in the areas controlled by the coalition, despite the Islah Party’s objection to the agreement.
Despite the controversial agreement, Moein’s government did not issue any statements to clarify the situation.
Yemen’s pro-coalition government’s monopoly agreement on Emirati company is believed to be driven by security goals related to Abu Dhabi’s control of Aden, not investment, according to observers.
