During the session, the Speaker of the Parliament stressed the need for collaboration and solidarity across constitutional institutions in dealing with Yemen’s unusual situation, which necessitates mobilizing capacities, energies, and transparency in the face of aggression, siege, and imbalances.

Al-Rai emphasized the scope of the conspiracy as well as the economic and media war fought against Yemen by the US-Saudi aggression coalition and its mercenaries.

He stated that the government’s request for a debate under Parliament’s dome reflects the state’s presence with its constitutional institutions and comes to strengthen the joint governmental-parliamentary performance aimed at overcoming the circumstances and consequences of aggression and blockade.

For his part, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the meetings held under the dome of Parliament to discuss the concerns and sufferings of Yemeni citizens, including the questions and observations submitted by members of Parliament.

He stressed the significance of the concerns and themes put forth that interest everyone, noting the implications of this extraordinary circumstance and the aggression and blockade.

Dr. Bin Habtoor explained that previous budgets presented to and passed by Parliament were categorized and detailed by items, with revenues from oil, gas, airports, ports, and foreign aid accounting for 85 percent of them.

He added that the coalition and its mercenaries now control those earnings, as well as Yemeni ports and airports, with the exception of the port of Hodeida and limited flights via the Sanaa airport, and those revenues in the free provinces do not exceed 15%.
