Shura condemns pro-coalition government’s reception of Swedish ambassador in Aden

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – The Shura Council, in its meeting on Wednesday chaired by its speaker, Muhammad Al-Aidarous, strongly denounced the irresponsible practices of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition by its recent reception of the Swedish ambassador and his entourage in Aden.

The Council considered these defective behaviors a provocation to the feelings of the people of Yemen and the nation and ignoring of the repeated abuses against the Holy Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and the Holy Quran under the auspices of the Swedish government.

In this regard, the Shura Council called for unifying positions at the Arab and Islamic levels to put a radical end to extremist behavior towards Islam and its sanctities by severing political and economic relations with all countries that offend Islam and Muslims.

The Shura Speaker emphasized the significance of what was contained in the address of the revolution leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid, in terms of warnings addressed to the coalition countries.

Al-Aidarous renewed the Council’s support and blessing for the steps and measures taken by the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the Salvation Government, and the Armed Forces to preserve national sovereignty, achieve just peace, and lift injustice against the Yemeni people.

In its meeting, the Council discussed and approved the report of its Economic Committee on the analysis of growth rates, indicators of economic and financial stability, and the effects of aggression and economic blockade during the period 2015-2020.
