STC accuses Saudi Arabia of supporting al-Qaeda to target its factions

ADEN, Aug 16 (YPA) – A politician in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) accused on Wednesday the Saudi Arabia of supporting al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations to target the STC’s armed factions.

Abdullah Mubarak Al-Ghaithi, the southern politician and academic who resides in the UAE, said on Twitter that “Saudi Arabia is seeking to trim the STC’s nails and prevent it from controlling the areas of Saudi influence in southern Yemen that the head of the so-called Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, visited, indicating that services in Aden are worse than Hadramout and Mahra.”
