Tariq Affash’s electrical investments in Mocha, projects built on suffering of simple people

MOCHA, Aug 10 (YPA) – Day after day, the facts become clear that the statement made by Tariq Affash’s statements regarding the provision of electricity service to the people of Mocha and the West Coast are only propaganda, in conjunction with increasing suffering of citizens due to long hours power outages.

Tariq Affash had previously announced the operation of a government power station in Mocha with a capacity of 5 megawatts, but the shock was when citizens discovered that the station is (commercial) and not governmental and owned by Tariq Affash himself.

Citizens reported that Tariq Affash electricity is considered the most expensive in the Arab world, where the price of one kilowatt reaches 950 riyals, which citizens are unable to pay.

In recent days, pro-UAE media have published images of a large number of solar panels in a vast swath of land in Mocha. The media  said to it is  be a new solar-powered electric project.

Observers pointed to Tariq Affash taking advantage of his position to increase his investments and make money from citizens, and confirmed that the area that appeared in the pictures is very large and capable of generating electricity for Yemen as a whole.

According to observers, Tariq Affash through the electric power project benefits in both cases, the first is to increase revenue and reduce the cost of it, especially since the price of  one kilowatt will remain the same, in addition to his acquisition of the vast land area on which the project was built.
