SHABWA, July 27 (YPA) – Gunmen, believed to belong to one of the factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, cut off a citizen and looted his car on Thursday in Shabwa province, southeastern Yemen, local sources said.
The gunmen interrupted the citizen while he was passing by in his car on a street in the city of Ataq, and they looted his car and all his belongings, according to the sources.
The sources stated that the gunmen fled after committing their crime without being intercepted by anyone, in reference to the security elements loyal to the coalition.
The incident comes within a long series of crimes of banditry and looting that citizens and travelers are exposed to in the areas controlled by the Saudi-Emirati coalition factions.
