ADEN, July 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Monday accused Saudi Arabia of trying to disrupt the scene in Yemen’s south.
Mohammed Abdulhadi, a member of the STC’s Southern Dialogue Committee, said in a statement to a Russian news agency, that Saudi Arabia’s goal of forming new councils, which had never been heard of before, is to shuffling the cards.
He noted that Riyadh sought after the signing of the Code of Conduct of South to abort efforts to reunite it.
The Hadramout National Council is purely Saudi, he said, citing its declaration from Riyadh and not completing its documents or announcing its plans.
Abdulhadi expressed the STC’s concerns about the repercussions of forming the Shabwa Tribal Alliance, the Aden Council and a long list of new formations.
