Five Foreign Ministers condemn Israel’s plan to take control of Gaza

WORLD, Aug. 09 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministers of Australia, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and the United Kingdom strongly rejected Israel’s newly approved plans to launch a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip.

“The plans that the Government of “Israel” has announced risk violating international humanitarian law. Any attempts at annexation or of settlement extension violate international law, ” the ministers said in a joint statement,

Israeli occupation security cabinet has approved a plan to take control of Gaza City, marking a significant escalation in its military operations in the already-devastated Palestinian territory.

The move has drawn significant criticism both domestically and internationally, amid mounting fears over a war that has continued for nearly two years.
