Awqaf Authority condemns burning of copies of Holy Quran by extremists in Sweden

SANAA, June 30 (YPA) – The General Authority of Awqaf in the Sanaa government on Friday condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by extremists in Sweden.

In a statement issued today, the Awqaf Authority denounced the Swedish authorities’ permission for extremists to burn a copy of the Holy Quran for the second time.

The authority pointed out that such behaviors and actions reflect the hatred of extremists for Islam and Muslims and their disregard for their feelings and sanctities.

The authority’s statement urged the Islamic Nation to take effective action at the global level to discipline anyone who persists in violating Islamic sanctities, calling on the Islamic countries to boycott countries and governments that allow these racist and provocative behaviors.
