WORLD, June 26 (YPA) -Syrian Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala, presented his credentials to the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit as a permanent representative of Syria to the League.
The appointment of Ambassador Alla comes nearly a month after the Arab League decided to resume the participation of Syrian delegations in its meetings, and he will occupy this position for the first time in nearly 11 years, following the decision to suspend Syria’s membership, where he was previously held by the late Ambassador Youssef Ahmed.
