Pro-UAE factions suppress political activity in Aden

ADEN, June 19 (YPA) – Armed factions affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Monday prevented holding a ceremony of the so-called “Arab South Union” in the Al-Mansoura area of Aden province, southern Yemen, local sources reported.

This came after the union installed itself as a representative of the southern case in early May, according to the sources.

The organizers of the ceremony indicated that they took to the streets in front of the media after they faced oppression and abuse in the city.
