Preparations in Sanaa to operate one of most important industrial enterprises in Yemen
SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade in the Sanaa government, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Shawtari, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Dhaifallah Shumaila, inspected on Tuesday the final arrangements for restarting the Spinning and Weaving Factory.
During their visit to the factory, which is one of the most important public sector industrial establishments in Yemen, Al-Shawtari and Shumaila were briefed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Corporation for Spinning and Weaving Industry, Abdullah Shaiban, on the stages of rehabilitation and maintenance of equipment to restart the spinning section in the factory as a first stage to re-operate all sections of the factory.
Al-Shawtari praised the efforts made by the corporation to restart the factory, confirming that the Ministry of Industry would provide all support and assistance to the corporation to operate all sections of the factory and restore its leading role in the manufacture of clothing and fabrics.
He affirmed the ministry’s keenness to support local productive industries, especially those that depend on local crude.
In turn, Shumaila considered these arrangements to restart the spinning section in the factory an encouraging step towards further steps to advance the factory, stressing the importance of supporting industries based on local agricultural materials.
