STC is component to represent only itself: Ex-Socotra governor

SOCOTRA, May 25 (YPA) – The former governor of Socotra, who was overthrown by the UAE–backed factions, Ramzi Mahrous, affirmed on Thursday that the so-called UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) is just a component that represents only itself and not the south.

In a news statement, he confirmed that the separation or annexation of the eastern provinces could not be by force.

Mahrous considered Yemeni unity to be one of the constants, and all Yemenis are proud of it regardless of the conviction of those at the forefront of the scene.

The governor noted the Yemenis’ pride in unity as a dream achieved after great struggles, whether in the north or south of the country.

“Yemen is going through a critical stage and facing today what is more dangerous than the British colonialism that was in southern Yemen,” Mahrous added, in reference to the attempts of the coalition countries to pass the separation project through the factions loyal to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
