Al-Hassani affirms coalition’s factions fight without goal

ABYAN, May 24 (YPA) – A leader and a prominent southern activist confirmed on Wednesday that the Saudi-led coalition’s factions have gotten fighting alongside it without a goal.

Adel al-Hassani, the former leader of the Southern Resistance and political activist, addressed the leaders of the Congress and the Islah parties loyal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, asking: “Do you realize how much you are in the coalition?

He said on Twitter, “You are nothing more than a military fence that puts you in the face of the Houthis at points of contact, such as Marib, Taiz, and the western coast.”

Al-Hassani stated that these factions carry out specific tasks, whether with or without their desire, within a mission supervised by the coalition and subject to its orders and instructions.

He asked those leaders, “What will the coalition give you in return? You will not enter Aden and will not affect Sanaa.”

Al-Hassani pointed out that the coalition has worked to form these factions over the past years with the goal of devoting itself to completing the realization of its agendas in southern Yemen for sharing influence.
