Meteorology issues statement on weather conditions in Yemen

SANAA, May 05 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected the continuation of rains of varying intensity in a number of province’s during the next 24 hours.

The center indicated in its weather bulletin on Thursday that rainfall would prevail over of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Raymah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Mahweet and Hajjah as well as Amran, Saada, Jawf, Marib, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout.

The bulletin affirmed that sporadic rains may fall in parts of the Socotra archipelago, the southern and eastern coasts, and the interior areas adjacent to them.

The center also warned of rockslides and a decrease in the range of horizontal visibility on mountainous roads, calling for not approaching tall trees and electricity towers.
