Official kidnapped in Mocha city

TAIZ, May 05 (YPA) – A local official was kidnapped on Thursday in the city of Mocha, which is under the control of the UAE militia, west of Taiz province.

Local sources in the city stated that the so-called “Director of Fish Landing” in the city, Samir al-Sayyed, was kidnapped by gunmen loyal to UAE-backed Tariq Saleh,” against the backdrop of sharing levies imposed on Mocha fishermen.

Mocha sons and the coastal areas, which are under the control of the coalition militia, live in difficult living conditions, amid the continued plundering of revenues and the expansion of lands by Tariq Saleh’s followers, who have worked to repeat the tragedies of 33 years of depriving the people of Tihama of the most basic rights.
