MARIB, March 08 (YPA) – A senior military commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Wednesday in the city of Marib.
According to local sources, “Osama Hassan Al-Marani,” one of the pillars of the war of the so-called “Al-Jawareh Battalion” in the “Saba axis”, was killed in the clashes that erupted with Sanaa forces the south of city.
The sources indicated that a number of officers recruits in the so-called “Saba Axis” funded by the coalition were killed or wounded in the confrontations.
Last week, the coalition forces launched a new attack for the fifth straight day from their positions in al-Arak” mountain chain, east of the Harib district, towards the sites that Sanaa forces were able to clear in al-Arak and “Al-Bura” areas.
After fierce battles between the two sides, the Sanaa forces were able to repel the offensive, which forced the coalition forces to withdraw to their positions after suffering heavy casualties.
The sources identified many of the killed military commanders of the coalition, during their failed attacks 5 days ago towards Hrib district of Marib, as Ali Nasser Al-Amiri, Ali Ahmed Al-Madasi, Mutaib Nasser Al-Amiri, and Hassan Ahmed Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, as well as Izz Al-Din Daiban and Yasser Arwal Salem Ataq Al-Masry.
