Lebanese young man commits suicide due to deteriorating living conditions

BEIRUT, March. 02 (YPA) –  Lebanese young man Moussa Al-Chami committed suicide, leaving a voice message to one of his friends asking him to take care of his children.

In the voice message he said that he was committing suicide due to the deteriorating living conditions as he could no longer provide for his children.

After this message, al-Shami committed suicide and found in front of his house in the southern town of Deir al-Zahrani, a body with a gunshot wound and a military weapon next to it.

Information circulated on social media  confirmed that the young man committed suicide due to the economic crisis.

In turn, the Association of Depositors  in Lebanon  said that the deceased left the trust to his friend to take care of his children, stressing that the reason for suicide is the living situation in Lebanon, where he can no longer provide for his children.

MP Melhem Khalaf commented on the audio message, saying: “The voice of the young Musa al-Shami gnaws at consciences and shakes the thrones of these murderous tyrants! Where will you escape the intensity of anger in the face of an entire people crying out of oppression!”
