Saudi forces carry out military deployment in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The Saudi forces, which are formed from extremist Salafist groups under the name “Nation’s Shield forces”, carried out on Wednesday a military deployment along Al Buraiqeh road to the western entrance to the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

Local sources in Aden confirmed that the UAE-affiliated “Security Belt” militia withdrew from its positions west of Aden, towards Al Buraiqeh Road, without knowing its final destination, in conjunction with the deployment of pro-Saudi forces that arrived in the city last week from Saudi territory.

The Saudi Arabia is heading to control areas surrounding the city of Aden, and to deploy forces that have trained in its lands, and several camps run by Tareq Afash on the western coast overlooking the Bab al-Mandab Strait, so that these forces will pose an additional threat to international navigation.

Last October, Saudi Arabia handed over part of Al-Anad military base to the so-called Shield of the Nation.
