Express: Ukrainian wheat has become fodder for pigs in Spain

WORLD, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The Ukrainian wheat has become pig feed in Spain instead of being sent to poor African countries, according to Journalist Michael Koch’s article, which was published by Express Newspaper.

“The EU has been fighting to create a corridor for the supply of Ukrainian grain by sea so that the poorest countries do not face famine. But wheat almost never reached these countries, instead it was originally sent to Spain where it was used as pigs’ fodder .”

Koch complained that too little of this wheat had reached Third World countries, saying he believed it was due to the financial benefit of the Ukrainian authorities.

“Such a shame is easy to explain: Spain paid more money, Ukraine supplied wheat to it,” he explained.

Turkey has previously announced that the share of grain transported through “grain corridor” to poor countries is only 5.4 percent.
