ADEN, Feb. 13 (YPA) – Head of Saudi-formed so-called Presidential Leadership Council Al-Rashad Al-Alimi, issued new orders to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) to hand over all points and camps to the so-called “ Dera Al-Watan” ( Shield of Homeland Forces) formed by Saudi Arabia from extremist groups.
Al-Alimi’s directives to the Minister of Defense in the pro-coalition government stipulated the implementation of the “security plan” developed by the Saudi-led coalition’s military leaders, to hand over the specified sites and points in the city of Aden to the forces of the so-called “Shield of Homeland Forces”, according to a document circulated by activists from the southern governorates on social media.
The document stressed the implementation of the plan with the commander of the “Shield of Homeland”, a Salafi leader accused of fighting in the ranks of al-Qaeda in Lahj, Basheer Seif Qaed al-Subaihi.
The Shield of Homeland Forces, which received military training in Saudi camps, arrived in Aden last week, coming from the Al-Wadea crossing, amid the continued dispatch of more of these forces to the city.
This comes as the coalition countries continue to detain the leaders of the STC, headed by Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, and prevent them from returning to Aden.
