Saudi forces carry out military exercises in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 07 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces carried out on Tuesday military exercises in Al-Buraiqa district of Aden province, southern Yemen.

Local sources familiar with the matter that the Saudi-affiliated forces of the so-called “Shield of Nation,” carried out military exercises with live ammunition inside the coalition camp in the district, which caused a state of panic among the citizens.

The sources pointed out that the training conducted by Saudi Arabia for extremist Salafist elements of the so-called “Shield of Nation,” was held at the headquarters of “Coalition Command 802,” under the supervision of Arab and foreign experts.

“Saudi Arabia is in the process of transferring those forces to Camp of Victory, and deploying part of them to secure Aden Airport and Masheeq Palace in Crater, instead of the pro-UAE Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia, in cooperation and coordination with “Tariq Afash,” they said.

This came after the head of the coalition-backed government, Moen Abdul Malik, prevented from payment of the salaries to the STC militias, which the STC leaders considered an undeclared war against them.
