Gunmen attack STC’s armed group in Abyan

ABYAN, Feb. 06 (YPA) – A number of members of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia were injured in several mortar shells in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Media sources affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition said that unidentified gunmen, believed to be members of the tribes, targeted a group of the STC militia in Wadi Omran area of Mudiyah district.

The sources explained the ambulances rushed to the site to transport the wounded, without specifying their number.

This came as a result of extending the explosive devices that target the STC, killing dozens of them in Mudiyah, Mahfad and other areas of the province during last August.
