ADEN, Feb. 05 (YPA) – A major fire broke out in the headquarters of the local authorities in central of Aden city, which is controlled by the Saudi-led coalition militia in southern Yemen.
Local sources in the city reported that the fire broke out in the headquarters of the local authorities in the Sheikh Othman area, which led to the destruction of the archive and important documents incriminating officials in corruption cases.
The sources described the fire as “fabricated” by parties involved in looting public money, in an attempt to obliterate the files and documents that incriminate them.
Ambulances rushed to the place, while the fire trucks arrived late after the fire spread in the building, the sources added.
The concerned authorities did not issue any clarification regarding the outbreak of the fire, its causes and the losses it left behind at the headquarters.
