Traveller wounded in shooting on Abyan road

ABYAN, Jan. 16 (YPA) – One of travellers was wounded on Monday in a shooting carried out by an armed gangs on the main road in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Local sources said the gang cut off the main road linking Abyan-Shabwa to a number of traveling citizens, who they were trying to travel from Shabwa to Ibb.

The sources reported that gunmen looted all the money the citizens had from Saudis and Yemenis, with their mobile phones and personal cards.

This came in light of the security chaos that in the southern provinces are witnessing.
