Mufti of Oman: Islamic nation must stand together in face of Zionist enemy
MUSCAT, Jan. 15 (YPA) – Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili, has considered the Zionist enemy’s right-wing extremist government’s move to occupy Al-Aqsa Mosque and its continued aggression against it, violating its sanctities and harassing worshipers as a declaration of war.
Al-Khalili called, in a statement issued Saturday, on the entire Islamic nation to stand together in the face of this aggression, and support with all its power the Palestinian resistance stationed in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is the equivalent of the Sacred Mosque, and to it was the journey of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and it was the first qiblah for Muslims,” the Mufti of Oman said.
He added that the Qur’an clarified the high value of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the scales of Allah Almighty, wondering “So, when will the Islamic nation fulfill this obligation, and wash away the shame of the occupation from its face? May it be soon.”
