Coalition establishes first military brigade of “Tariq Affash” in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 01 (YPA) – Informed sources on Saturday revealed the establishment of the first military brigade of “Tariq Affash” in Abyan governorate, east of the city of Aden, which is under the control of the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia.

According to the sources, Tariq Affash, a military commander of the so-called “the Republic Guard Forces”, is making military arrangements to establish a military brigade in the eastern side of the city of Aden in the Al-Mutalaa area in kode Khanfar, near the coast of the Arabian Sea.

The sources reported that the UAE pushed elements of the “STC” militia as a first step to control the lands of citizens and fishermen, in preparation for handing them over to the forces of Affash,

The UAE and Saudi intention is to make those areas under the control of Affash’s recruits from  Abyan’s people , who were trained on the western coast.

Saudi Arabia created a number of military brigades under different names and put them under the supervision to Tariq Affash, in the northwest of Aden, towards Lahj, and recruited thousands of tribesmen of Al-Subiha and Radfan tribes opposing the STC, whose leaders are from Dhalea province.
