Head of Sanaa negotiating delegation reveals most prominent achievements in 2022

SANAA, Jan. 01 (YPA) – The head of national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, revealed most prominent achievements in the year 2022, which is the truce that led to end of the fuel crisis that Yemeni people were experiencing.

“One of the most prominent achievements of 2022 is the truce that led to ending the oil crisis that our people were suffering from,” Abdulsalam told Al-Masirah Saturday evening.

He added: “During the year 2022, we proved an important equation within the framework of the military confrontation, including a progress achieved on frontlines and bombing the Saudi and Emirati depth.”

Abdulsalam pointed out that home front has become consolidated over the past year at a better level than it was.

He pointed out that the Supreme Political Council has become more cohesive at political level and sovereign stability, while the so-called presidency of Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi disintegrated and became exiled.

He explained that last year a new equation entered in the humanitarian situation, which is payment of salaries and preventing the looting of Yemeni oil and gas, pointing out that the past year recorded the continued demand for popular entitlements, which is the departure of the occupation forces, in addition to weakness of international position in support of the aggression.

The diplomat affirmed that leadership in Sanaa plays a major role in managing the country’s affairs despite the difficult circumstances, such as the siege and targeting of all institutions.

He pointed out that the past year at the level of the internal situation is one of the best years that have passed for our people.

“There is a good state of security stability and the provision of services to the people with the capabilities of the National Salvation Government,” he said.

He added: “The enemy was very disappointed with the cohesion of society and the return of fighters from its ranks, whether military, merchants and politicians, to Sanaa.”

“The military parades proved that Yemen has become in an advanced position in defending itself and in the deterrence force, which represents the protection of politics, economy and faith identity,” he said.

“We have always called for a humanitarian truce and neutralization of the humanitarian file, but they did not respond until they received painful strikes,” he stated.

Regarding the looting of Yemeni wealth, he said, “What prevents the coalition of aggression from returning to targeting Yemen or carrying out economic measures and looting wealth is the fear of the reaction of the armed forces”.

He added: “Popular internal cohesion is no longer very interested in supporting UN organizations, but rather in social solidarity and supporting the Zakat Authority.”

Abdulsalam continued: “There is a new equation and rules of engagement that have been put forward in the salary file, preventing the looting of Yemeni oil and other important issues.”

He said: ” wanted to extend truce without humanitarian relief, we rejected that.

Abdulsalam pointed out that the other side wants cease-fire without any humanitarian solutions, so it can arrange its priorities in context of war and siege.

“Any truce must expand humanitarian conditions, entitlements,” he stressed. “We demand end to humanitarian crisis in Yemen, away from the military, political issue.”
Abdulsalam added: “Any solution should include paying employees’ salaries from oil and gas revenues according to the 2014 budget. And also, must include opening of airports, ports and roads, in addition to releasing all prisoners.”

He concluded his statement by saying: “Our demands are legitimate and justified, and what we are demanding are humanitarian entitlements that have nothing to do with military or political affairs.”
