Senior commander loyal to Saudi Arabia killed in Marib

MARIB, Sept. 13 (YPA) – A senior military commander loyal to Saudi Arabia was killed on Sunday by Sanaa forces during surprise attacks on Saudi military reinforcements in Marib province northeast of Yemen, according to local sources.

Sources reported that Mohammed al-Montaser, commander of the Islah Party-affiliated ‘7th Military Region,” died from injuries sustained during strikes by Sanaa forces targeting Saudi military gatherings in Marib camps.

The incident follows a series of missile and drone strikes conducted by Sanaa forces over recent days, targeting troop concentration points and command-and-control centers associated with Saudi forces in Marib, including the ‘Sahn al-Jin’ and ‘Al-Rawayk’ camps.

The strikes on Saudi-backed facilities resulted in casualties among field leadership as well as material losses.
