Cold weather with rainfall of varying intensity gets expected in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 29 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected cold weather with rainfall of varying intensity in a number of provinces of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin, the center indicated to a gradual decrease in minimum temperatures, including the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Lahj, Dhalea and Ibb.

The center also is expected rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, in the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Lahj, Dhalea, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah, Saada, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, Jawf, Marib, Bayda, Abyan, and Shabwa provinces.

It drew attention to the formation of fog during the evening and early morning on the heights of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Sanaa, Mahweet, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj and Bayda.

The center called on the elderly, children, patients, and workers to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather, and motorists to drive carefully mountainous roads due to the decrease in the horizontal visibility as a result to the formation of fog and dense low clouds.
