HADRAMOUT, July 24 (YPA) – The city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout province in eastern Yemen, witnessed a painful tragedy on Thursday, when three sons of a prominent figure in Marib province drowned on the city’s coast.
A local source reported that the sons of Hamad Mohammed Al-Shabiri, Sultan, Hussein, and Suleiman, drowned while visiting Mukalla to enjoy the town’s busy annual festival season. The incident began with one of the brothers drowning, and his two brothers attempted to save him, but they all ultimately perished.
The tragedy occurred amid the absence of rescue teams despite the large crowds on the beach. The body of one of the brothers was recovered, while the bodies of Sultan and Suleiman remain missing at sea.
