Gunmen killed in Abyan bomb blast

ABYAN, Dec. 26 (YPA) – About two militants were killed and others wounded on Monday by unknown gunmen in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Local sources in the province stated that the gunmen, who are believed to be members of al-Qaeda loyal to Islah, targeted a military vehicle belonging to the -backed Southern Transitional” militia with an explosive device in Al-Mahfad district, leaving two dead and a number of wounded.

On Sunday, 3 members of the militias were injured when a military vehicle of the STC was targeted in Mudiya area in the same province.
