Leader in revolutionary movement escapes assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 26 (YPA) – A leader in the “revolutionary movement” escaped on Sunday from an assassination attempt in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

The head of the so-called “Supreme Council of revolutionary movement”, which was overthrown by UAE-backed Southern Transitional militia, Fouad Rashid, stressed that unknown gunmen opened fire on the car of leader Ivan Ghassan one day after the Revolutionary Council organized a celebration of the success of organizational plan to arrange Abyan Council.

Rashid demanded an investigation into the assassination attempt which occurred in in Jaar city.

The head of the “Revolutionary Movement” accused southern parties of poisoning the political scene in the southern provinces with blood, referring to the “Southern Transitional” loyal to UAE.
