Armed confrontations renew south of Marib city

MARIB, Dec. 21 (YPA) – Military confrontations renewed on Wednesday between Sanaa forces and the Saudi-led coalition forces in south of the city of Marib, in eastern Yemen.

Local sources in Marib told the “Yemeni Press Agency” that sporadic clashes have renewed between the two parties, north of Harib district.

The Sanaa forces were able to thwart an attempt by members of the reconnaissance force of the coalition forces to advance towards the positions of the Sanaa forces in “Nashah” area, according to the sources.

According to the same sources, the confrontations led to deaths and injuries on both sides, including the killing of the militia leader loyal to the coalition, Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah Al-Dhafri.
