Minister of Defense’s statements are not for media consumption: Top Official

SANAA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – Member of Ansarullah Political Bureau, Abdullah Mohammed Al-Nami, said that the statements of the Minister of Defense in Sanaa, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser Al-Atefi, be serious and not just for media consumption.

“The arrival of the Omani delegation to Sanaa, accompanied by the head of the national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, confirms that the Saudi-led coalition does not want to impose peace in Yemen, and that the situation is about to explode,” he stated.

Last week, Minister Al-Atefi indicated that the maritime security of Yemeni territorial waters, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the territorial extension of the Socotra archipelago and the Yemeni islands are Yemeni lands over which we have full sovereignty.

Al-Atefi stressed that the armed forces had taken all measures to ensure that they deal forcefully and firmly with any development that would poses a threat or prejudice to national sovereignty or approaching maritime sovereignty, warning the countries of the coalition with disciplinary options that would be taken and announced in a timely manner.
