Islah forces’ commander hands over his military position to Hadrami Elite’s commander

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 20 (YPA) – A military commander loyal to USE-funded Hadrami Elite arrived in Seiyun to assume his duties in the command of the First Military Region, affiliated with Islah, after the overthrow of Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar’s right-hand man.

According to local sources in the city, Amer Abdullah Mohammed bin Hatian, who was recently appointed as the Chief of Staff of the First Military Region, arrived on Monday in Seiyun, to assume his duties after the removal of Islah leader Yahya Muhammad Abu Awja, from his post in early December.

The sources indicated that the commander of the first region, Saleh Times, received bin Hatian at the headquarters of the region, and a number of leaders, including the “commander of the 135th Infantry Brigade”, Yahya Abu Auja.

It is noteworthy that Hatian recently served as commander of the so-called “Special Tasks Battalion” in the UAE-funded Hadrami Elite militia on the coast of Hadramout.
