LAHJ, Dec. 06 (YPA) – Lahj province, southern Yemen, witnessed on Monday new popular protests against the Saudi-led coalition factions.
Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Tuban district to condemn the continued theft of citizens’ lands by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council factions.
In the past few days, a number of the province’s districts have seen widespread protests, demanding the expulsion of armed gangs, amid escalating killings and looting.
The protests came in light of the collapse of the security and living conditions in Lahj and all areas under the control of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, coinciding with the escalation of fighting between the coalition factions and the spread of corruption.
