Washington plans to train more Ukrainian soldiers

WORLD, Dec. 01 (YPA) – Washington plans to significantly increase the number of Ukrainian military personnel it trains and give them more complex training courses, CNN quoted US government sources as saying.

“As part of the new program, the United States will begin training much larger groups of Ukrainian soldiers in more complex combat tactics, including coordinating infantry exercises with artillery support,” according to a report.

According to CNN, it is planned to train 2,500 soldiers per month at the US military base in Germany alone.

Since February of this year, the United States has trained only a few thousand Ukrainian troops to control certain types of weapons.

The training courses will be significantly “more intensive and comprehensive” than those currently offered in Britain or Poland, and it should be noted that the proposal was sent at the request of the Ukrainian side, CNN added

Earlier, it was reported that the EU mission for Ukraine would start training around 12,000 troops from the beginning of November.
