Two injured in attack targeting STC’s leader in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 11 (YPA) – A violent explosion rocked Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

This was reported by Yemen News Portal on Friday, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to the sources, gunmen attacked a house belonging to a military command in the STC’s support brigade behind the fish market near the Dar Saad police station north Aden city.

The commander of the Fifth Support Brigade and another person were injured in the attack, one of the sources said.

The same source pointed out that the explosion caused fear among the residents and was heard in the outskirts of Sheikh Othman and Mansoura districts.

The explosion comes in light of military mobilization between the STC militias  and Tariq  Saleh’s, which took over the protection of the Al-Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace after expelling the so-called “Presidential Al-Asifah Forces” led by Aidarous al-Zubaidi
