Explosive device targets military patrol in Abyan

ABYAN, Oct. 25 (YPA) – A military vehicle belonging to the Emirati militia was exposed on Tuesday to the explosion of an explosive device in Lawder district, Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Tribal sources in Abyan said that unknown persons targeted the vehicle carrying a number of Saudi-led coalition recruits in Al-Khadira area of the district.

UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias media accused Al-Qaeda of being behind the recent attacks on them with explosive devices, which came within the framework of a series of escalating attacks against the STC that launched an military operation to expel the Islah factions from the coalition-held provinces.
