Islah forces advance towards Mukalla

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 18 (YPA) – Pro-Islah forces began redeployment in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, tribal sources said on late Monday.

According to the sources, groups of the so-called First Military Region’s forces advanced from their positions on the outskirts of the city of Seiyun towards the districts of Sah and Wadi al-Ain, south of the city.

This came at the same time as the commander of the first military region Saleh Tumis threatened the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions with a large-scale war in the province.

The sources explained that the first military forces are seeking to establish new camps near the northern areas of the city of Mukalla, where the leadership of the Emirati factions is stationed.

The developments come in the context of preparations to trigger a direct battle between the Saudi-led  coalition’s factions  throughout the valley and desert districts.
