Coalition carries out arrest campaign against Marib tribes

MARIB, Oct. 17 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition militants carried out on Monday a massive arrest campaign against sons of tribes in the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Marib.

Local sources in the city affirmed that about 30 armed men on board four military vehicles stormed dozens of homes belonging to citizens of Al-Damashiqa tribes, accusing them of arresting wanted tribesmen.

The campaign that waged by Islah’s “special units” kidnapped a number of Al-Damashiqa tribes’ sons, sparking panic among the residents of the residential neighborhood.

The sources suggested that the storming of citizens’ homes came after armed men from the Al-Damashiqa tribes threatened to storm the city of Marib, in protest against the continued kidnapping of a number of their sons in coalition prisons, without any reasons.

The coalition forces deliberately humiliate and weaken the tribes of Wadi Abaidah and abuse them, whether in the city of M’rib or in other areas, so that they do not demand the share of their areas in development from the revenues of the oil and gas wealth being looted by the influential in the previous corruption system.
